Haylee Kirkham

Hi, my name is Haylee Kirkham. I have lived in Taranaki for most of my life. Currently, I live in new Plymouth where I am a full time Wife and Mother of two lovely girls. In the last two years I have begun painting again, finding it immensely satisfying and rewarding. Although my recent works has been flowers and abstract, I would like to explore various subjects, such as portraits of people and landscapes. My style is realistic and bold, my colors are vibrant. My abstract paintings are a visual statement, a visual response with movement and energy allowing me to be free with my pallet knife and make lots of mess! My medium is acrylic and I like to use texture. I am experimenting with various mediums and I love to paint full bloom flowers, their colour; texture and beauty inspire me. Taranaki has lots of to offer with the beaches and mountain in our back yard which influence my ideas and provides my source of inspiration. I have displayed my paintings at The Real Tart Gallery, New Plymouth.
