This is a website for Real TArt Gallery members only.

In order to join this website you must be an exhibiting artist at the Real TArt Gallery or have exhibited there in the past three years. In order to be eligible to register on this website, you must be a resident Taranaki artist currently living in the Taranaki region. If you have exhibited at Real Tart Gallery in the past, but no longer live in the Taranaki region, you are ineligible to join this website.

There is a small charge of $50 per year to join the Real TArt Gallery website. This must be paid in full to the Real TArt Gallery before your profile will go online. This payment can be made by cheque or can be paid in person at the Real TArt Gallery (19 Egmont Street, New Plymouth). Artists who pay via the post will be contacted when their payment arrives and if a receipt is required one will be forwarded.

The Real TArt Gallery will take a 25% commission from the retail price of any art work sold on this website. We ask that artists price their works to include this commission, it will not be added on when a work is sold or an enquiry from a purchaser is made. As artists are responsible for entering the price of each art work they have on the site, the Real TArt Gallery does not accept any responsibility or liability if an art work is listed and sold at an incorrect price.

I understand that Real TArt Gallery management reserve the right to remove/reject my profile if the information provided is deemed objectionable, if I do not fit the criteria outlined above or if joining fee is not received within 14 days.

Taranakiarts.co.nz recommends that all artists 'watermark' the images they upload on to this site to protect them from being illegally downloaded and distributed. This can be done by inserting © symbol followed by the artist's name and date over a section of the image eg, © Jane Smith, 2009. 'Watermarking' can be done using a photo-editing program such as Adobe Photoshop or Gimp. If you are unsure of how to do this and would like advice or assistance, please contact the Real TArt Gallery realtart@xtra.co.nz.
