Limelite

Limelite, the musical wing of the Taranaki Arts Community Trust, is dedicated to providing the infrastructures to contribute to the growth of Taranaki's music scene.

Limelite and its trustee on the ground Anand Rose, works with many of the region's events, TSB Festival of Lights, Fireworks Extravaganza, Parihaka Peace Festival, WOMAD, YouthFest, Multi-Ethnic Extravaganza and GTARanaki.

Singer Songwriters New Plymouth is a flagship Limelite event. Founded in June 2005, after four years in the Basement Bar it now meets on the last Tuesday of the month at New Plymouth Little Theatre.

Limelite and the Taranaki Arts Community Trust facilitated the move to New Plymouth Little Theatre. It also helps to fund a Singer Songwriters album release every year, giving musicians in the region valuable experience in the recording studio.

Limelite endeavours to establish a music promoters' network, to help avoid clashing dates, facilitate venues for musicians travelling to this region and encourage local support acts playing where possible at these events.
