Limelite

Limelite, the musical arm of the Taranaki Arts Community Trust, is dedicated to providing new initiatives that add value and contribute to the growth of Taranaki's music scene.

Limelite was involved in successfully nurturing Singer Songwriters New Plymouth which is now a stand alone flagship innovation for Taranaki. Founded in June 2005, after four years in the Basement Bar it now meets on the last Tuesday of the month at the New Plymouth Little Theatre.

Limelite and the Taranaki Arts Community Trust facilitated the move to the New Plymouth Little Theatre and helped to secure funding for a Singer Songwriters album release every year, giving musicians in the region valuable experience in the recording studio.

Moving forward Limelite is exploring the possibility of a new local music festival that will add another platform from which Taranaki musicians can profile their exciting range of styles and talent.
