Real TArt Gallery artist Donna O'Donoghue will be teaching a series of resin pouring,altered book and antique crackle workshops in June 2010.

The resin course will teach essential techniques for working with the medium. Ideal for beginners or those always keen to experiment, participants will learn to prepare and collage prints or paper to a surface and then learn how to mix and pour the resin finish. Great skills to learn and use in your own art work. Classes will run roughly for three hours. Each participant will come away with two finished resin heart pieces to keep or even use as gifts!

The Altered Book workshop plays with the idea of the unexpected.. taking a book, working with its traditional shape and form to change it into something else—to make it different and unexpected. Using a variety of media and techniques including paint, stamps, decoupage and three dimensional assembleage, Donna will teach those attending the course to create a hidden world inside their book, one that is unique to the artist.

Keen to achieve that antique, aged look in your work? The antique crackle course could be the thing for you! Donna will teach students how to correctly use and apply crackle medium so that they can ehance their art and achieve the kind of look they are hoping for!
